Hi!

It's been a long time I haven't involved in w3t I meant UBBT forum since 5.4.4 version.

I am upgrading to the version 6.0 and very excited since so many improved stuffs.

Now, regarding the Who's online page, is it possible if we can also track those who are browsing our pages other than ubbthreads and *.php?

Since my other scripts are still in perl and html, how we can track those things?

Maybe this issue has been discussed before.
I can't find it the above information in this forum.

Thanks.

not sure about the .html pages, but the .pl pages would all have to be modified to replicate what happens in the send_header function in ubbt.inc.php when it modifies the w3t_Online entry for this user.

I don't know if anyone has done this yet...? Anyway, that'd be your starting point.

It is possible to include people browsing html pages in the who's online function. All you have to do is write a script such as a "web bug" (a program that returns a 1 pixel transparent gif) running from the location of your other w3t scripts. This script merely updates the online table with info gleaned from the bug, such as ip and filename, which can then be mapped onto the language files for meaningful results. The bug is embedded in the html pages using an image tag. It works great!
